This significant financial milestone has catapulted the company's valuation to an impressive $7 billion. The funding round was spearheaded by investment funds managed by BlackRock, with notable contributions from Temasek and Baillie Gifford. Among the new investors joining this round are the Qatar Investment Authority and NVIDIA's venture capital division. The capital raised will be strategically allocated towards the development of the world's inaugural commercially viable fault-tolerant quantum computer.
