Li Auto, in collaboration with the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, have released a joint statement addressing the public concern sparked by the Li i8 crash test. This test was solely intended to assess the passive safety performance of the Li i8 and was not directed towards any other brands. In the conduct of the test, the Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Chenglong vehicle served exclusively as a "moving barrier" and was not subjected to any safety performance evaluations. Li Auto and CATARC express their apologies for any misunderstanding that may have adversely affected the involved brands.

Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor reaffirms its corporate values and quality commitment, pledging to uphold continuous innovation and high-quality development. The three parties collectively urge the automotive industry to enhance self-discipline, refrain from unfair competition, prioritize technological advancements and user experience, and collaborate to propel the industry forward.
