On July 13, the United Kingdom revealed plans to introduce new incentives aimed at lowering the cost of acquiring new electric vehicles. The Labour government in the UK is progressively phasing out highly polluting automobiles. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander confirmed on Sunday that fresh measures designed to bolster electric vehicle sales will be unveiled this week, with the objective of making them more affordable for consumers. As a component of this plan, the government will allocate £63 million to construct charging stations for households and logistics warehouses throughout the UK, as well as provide funding for homes without driveways. Furthermore, the government has proposed a £2.5 billion plan to support automakers in their transition to zero-emission vehicles.
