During the first half of 2025, amidst a challenging external environment, the Chinese automobile market witnessed remarkable growth in production and sales, fueled by proactive macroeconomic policies. In June alone, automobile production totaled 2.794 million units, while sales reached 2.904 million units, marking year-on-year increases of 11.4% and 13.8%, respectively. Cumulatively, production and sales for the first six months stood at 15.621 million units and 15.653 million units, respectively, reflecting year-on-year growth rates of 12.5% and 11.4%. Notably, the new energy vehicle market stood out with production and sales growth rates exceeding 40% compared to the same period last year. Both domestic sales and exports experienced significant upticks, with year-on-year increases of 11.7% and 10.4%, respectively. Overall, the Chinese automobile market has sustained its positive trajectory, and notable strides have been made towards high-quality development.
