The April 2025 retail sales rankings for pure electric vehicles (EVs) have been released, revealing a significant shift in the market. Tesla's dominance has waned, with the Model Y dropping to fifth place and the Model 3 slipping to seventeenth. Consequently, Tesla's market share has declined to 3.2%. In parallel, the overall EV market has contracted, with just 12 out of 195 models achieving monthly sales of over 10,000 units, marking a year-on-year decrease of over 50%. Furthermore, only six models continue to exceed monthly sales of 15,000 units.
