On May 12, General Motors (GM) proudly announced the appointment of Sterling Anderson, co-founder of the autonomous truck innovator Aurora, as Executive Vice President of Global Products and Chief Product Officer. In this role, Anderson will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of both fuel-powered and electric vehicles, encompassing crucial aspects such as hardware, software, services, and user experience. He will report directly to GM President Mark Reuss.
Anderson is set to officially commence his duties on June 2 and will be based at GM's technical center in Mountain View, California, where he will lead the charge in advancing GM's product portfolio.
