Trading wrapped up on May 9 with mixed results for the three major U.S. stock market indexes. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.29%, while the S&P 500 index dipped slightly by 0.07%. The Nasdaq Composite Index, however, closed essentially flat. Among large-cap technology stocks, the performance was mixed: Tesla soared by over 4%, Intel gained 2%, and Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon also registered modest gains. Conversely, NVIDIA, Netflix, Google's parent company Alphabet, and Meta all experienced slight declines. Regarding popular Chinese concept stocks, the majority ended the day in the red, with Li Auto, NetEase, Bilibili, and iQIYI falling by more than 2%. Baidu, JD.com, Alibaba, and Pinduoduo, on the other hand, witnessed smaller decreases. Meanwhile, NIO and Xpeng Motors managed to achieve slight gains.
