Geely Automobile has announced plans to privatize its electric vehicle brand Zeekr by acquiring all outstanding Zeekr shares and American Depositary Shares (ADS) at a price of US$2.57 per share or US$25.66 per ADS. Upon completion of this transaction, Zeekr will transition into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geely and will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange. This strategic move aligns with Geely's vision of "Reuniting Under One Geely Umbrella" and aims to consolidate its automotive brands. Over the past six months, Geely has already consolidated several sub-brands, including Geometry and Lynk & Co. Zeekr, which went public in 2024, reported revenues of RMB 75.913 billion last year, alongside a net loss of RMB 5.791 billion, which narrowed compared to the previous year. Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely, emphasized that this integration will bolster the group's innovation capabilities and profitability, positioning Geely as a leading global smart electric vehicle conglomerate.
