The national automobile market demonstrated a divergent performance in March, characterized by robust sales in the passenger car segment and a relatively weaker performance in the commercial vehicle segment. Following the implementation of a fresh round of subsidy policies at the end of January 2025, retail sales of passenger cars in the narrow sense exceeded expectations in both February and March. January witnessed a lull in the market, fueled by heightened consumer wait-and-see attitudes. However, the market rebounded swiftly in February and March, with passenger car sales maintaining a favorable momentum ahead of the Spring Festival. Meanwhile, commercial vehicles exhibited structural growth, with notable increases observed in new energy models of light trucks, microvans, and medium and large buses.
