On the back of President Trump's tariff plan, US stocks collectively opened lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipping 0.82%, the Nasdaq shedding 1.39%, and the S&P 500 falling 1.04%. Large technology stocks generally retreated, with Tesla plunging over 5% after failing to meet delivery expectations. NVIDIA, Amazon, and Meta all dropped more than 2%, while Microsoft and Google slipped over 1%, and Apple declined 0.8%. Furthermore, Newsmax experienced a steep decline of over 24% just two days after its public listing, and Trump Media & Technology Group also fell by more than 9%.
