The General Office of the Ministry of Transport, along with two other departments, has recently promulgated the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Subsidies for Renewing New Energy City Buses and Power Batteries in 2025". These rules aim to incentivize local governments to judiciously select the appropriate length types of new energy buses, based on passenger flow dynamics and the evolution of the public transportation sector. The subsidy standard for replacing these buses averages at RMB 80,000 per vehicle, while the subsidy for replacing power batteries averages at RMB 42,000 per vehicle. Local governments retain the autonomy to set subsidy standards in accordance with their specific needs.
