Shanghai Announces Third Batch of Open Test Roads for Autonomous Driving in Pudong New Area

On March 18th, the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, in collaboration with other relevant departments, issued a notification designating the third batch of open test roads for autonomous driving in Pudong New Area. This batch comprises a total of 583 roads, spanning 758.62 kilometers in length. Specifically, 238 roads with a combined length of 329.10 kilometers are now open in the Zhangjiang region; 261 roads, totaling 340.70 kilometers, are available in the Expo area; and 84 roads, with a length of 88.82 kilometers, are accessible in the Huamu district. This latest opening is poised to significantly advance the development and implementation of autonomous driving technology.
