Volkswagen and FAW Seal Pact: FAW-Volkswagen to Unveil 11 Exclusive Models for Chinese Market from 2026

On March 17, Volkswagen Group revealed that it has inked a strategic collaboration agreement with China's FAW. The accord outlines that commencing from 2026, FAW-Volkswagen will introduce 11 novel models tailored for the Chinese market, encompassing both Volkswagen and Jetta brands. Of these, six will be purely electric vehicles, two will be plug-in hybrid vehicles, and two will be extended-range electric vehicles. The initial entry-level pure electric vehicle under the Jetta brand is anticipated to debut in 2026. According to the roadmap, Volkswagen Group plans to introduce approximately 40 new vehicles in China between 2025 and 2027, with over half of these being electrified offerings.
