BMW China and Huawei Devices have unveiled a strategic partnership, signaling BMW's deep integration into the HarmonyOS ecosystem in China. This collaboration will bring forward-thinking digital services like BMW Digital Key, HUAWEI HiCar, and the MyBMW App to Chinese consumers. Leveraging HarmonyOS NEXT, BMW aims to develop a wide array of smart applications and functionalities tailored to meet high-frequency user needs, offering Huawei HarmonyOS users a seamless and intelligent experience across various scenarios.

Within the current year, BMW will introduce the BMW Digital Key function based on HarmonyOS NEXT, empowering users to conveniently unlock, lock, and start their vehicles using Huawei smartphones. Looking ahead, by 2026, locally produced BMW next-generation models will be equipped with deeply integrated HUAWEI HiCar, further enhancing the connected car experience for drivers.
