The 2026 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference is slated to take place in Yizhuang, Beijing, from October 21 to 23. During this event, XPENG will exhibit a range of products, showcasing its technological prowess in the realm of embodied AI. In a summit dialogue session at the conference, when addressing pertinent questions, He Xiaopeng noted that adapting to local policies, regulations, safety standards, and cultural nuances amidst Europe's intricate road conditions presents a formidable challenge. He mentioned that XPENG and Tesla can deploy relevant capabilities in France, as L4-level model functionalities are adept at meeting the demands of diverse scenarios. XPENG's second-generation VLA, built upon a unified technological framework, has successfully integrated L2 to L4 capabilities seamlessly and is making strides towards even more advanced autonomous driving. He Xiaopeng projected that the implementation of L4 technology is likely to materialize in the latter half of 2028, necessitating the collaborative evolution of the entire software and hardware ecosystem.
