Commencing on November 1, 2026, Zhang Jun is set to assume the role of President at Audi China, marking a historic milestone as the first Chinese national to hold this esteemed position. The incumbent president, Johannes Roscheck, will transition back to Ingolstadt. Zhang Jun brings a wealth of experience from his previous tenure at Audi China, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the SAIC Audi sales division and contributed to strategic initiatives concerning FAW-Audi. Before stepping into his new capacity, he served as Vice President of Chery International and CEO of the Chery brand. In tandem with this appointment, Audi has revealed that Rolf Michl, the current Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH, will relocate to China to take on the position of Chief Operating Officer. With these two strategic personnel moves, Audi China's Management Board will evolve into a dual-leadership team, comprising Zhang Jun and Rolf Michl. Audi has emphasized that this strategic realignment is designed to tackle market challenges head-on, by fostering a streamlined and focused management structure. The goal is to cultivate a leadership team that embodies an international outlook, possesses profound insights into the local market, and places a strong emphasis on effective execution.
