On October 16, 2026, NVIDIA and Mercedes-Benz announced the deepening of their strategic cooperation to jointly develop next-generation assisted and autonomous driving systems. The collaboration integrates Mercedes-Benz's automotive engineering expertise, safety heritage, MB.OS operating system, and NVIDIA's accelerated computing and AI technologies, including the Hyperion compute and sensor architecture, Alpamayo full-stack driving software, and Halos safety system, to advance functions such as urban assisted driving, active safety, and automated parking, while preparing for SAE Level 4 autonomous driving applications. Additionally, both parties will apply NVIDIA's technologies in automotive engineering simulation and Mercedes-Benz's digital production system MO360 to enhance the efficiency, flexibility, and quality of the global production network.
