At the Paris Auto Show, He Xiaopeng, the Chairman of XPENG Motors, unveiled a video chronicling his firsthand encounter with Tesla's FSD (Full Self-Driving) system. He highlighted that XPENG and Tesla stand out as the sole automotive brands actively engaged in the official intelligent driving laboratory at the Paris Auto Show. Furthermore, he emphasized that XPENG's Turing AI Intelligent Driving technology is making its grand European debut, allowing the public to experience it on a wide scale for the first time.
He Xiaopeng commended Tesla's FSD for its overall smooth performance, noting that its driving prowess surpasses that of human drivers, drawing a parallel to XPENG's NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot). He pointed out that both systems represent significant advancements in their technical frameworks. However, he also mentioned that XPENG's model scale is notably larger than that of FSD, boasting superior generalization capabilities.
Recently, XPENG has successfully conducted tests in various locations throughout Europe, yielding promising results. The company is optimistic about the global adaptability of its intelligent driving system and has already commenced testing in other countries. He Xiaopeng is of the opinion that healthy competition will spur the evolution of global intelligent driving technologies and ultimately deliver greater value to customers.
