On October 13th, insiders revealed that AIVA, a brand under Saidou Technology, is gearing up to launch its second model—an SUV—and is considering integrating a battery swap system. When queried about a potential collaboration with CATL's innovative 'Choco Swap' battery swap solution, the source clarified that the final decision remains pending. Notably, the 'Choco Swap' solution, introduced by Contemporary Amperex Service Ltd (CASL), a fully-owned subsidiary of CATL, has made significant strides. Official figures indicate that as of September 29th, a sprawling network of over 2,520 battery swap stations has been established across 200 cities in 31 provinces throughout the country, accompanied by the deployment of nearly 20,000 new batteries.
Saidou Technology, a collaborative venture backed by state-owned capital, Seres, CATL, and a diverse array of industrial capital entities, was previously recognized as Chongqing Landian Technology Co., Ltd. before undergoing an official rebranding in May of this year.
