On October 9, Tesla finalized the rebranding of its product names within the European market, standardizing the nomenclature by changing 'Full Self-Driving (Supervised)' (FSD Supervised) to 'Tesla Assisted Driving' (abbreviated as TAD). Similarly, the existing Enhanced Autopilot feature in select markets has also been rebranded as 'Tesla Assisted Driving Basic'. This renaming initiative was prompted by concerns from the German Federal Ministry of Transport, which believed the original name might mislead consumers into believing the system possesses full autonomous driving capabilities. In reality, the system remains an L2-level driving assistance system, necessitating constant driver supervision and legal accountability.

At present, the system has secured approval in eight European countries, including the Netherlands and Belgium. However, a comprehensive approval vote by the EU Technical Committee has been postponed until December. The German Transport Ministry has expressed its commitment to expediting the approval process at the EU level, aiming to enable Tesla owners to utilize the feature across the EU at an earlier date. Meanwhile, in the U.S. market, the feature continues to be marketed under the name 'Full Self-Driving (Supervised)', with a monthly subscription fee of $99.
