On September 30, as per a recall notice filed online by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), General Motors LLC has announced a recall of 29,347 vehicles within the United States. The root cause of this recall lies in a potential safety issue: when utilizing the remote key's quick-lift feature to close the vehicle windows, there exists a possibility that the front windows may not detect obstacles and fail to reverse their movement. This could lead to passengers being trapped and injured before the windows retract, thereby elevating the risk of harm. The vehicles affected by this recall are the OPTIQ models from the 2025-2027 model years.
