NVIDIA is collaborating with Swedish autonomous truck manufacturer Einride. Einride plans to expand its production capacity to meet the growing market demand for driverless vehicles. On Monday, Einride announced that NVIDIA will provide the underlying computing platform and artificial intelligence tools for its autonomous driving system. Currently, Einride operates hundreds of electric trucks for large logistics customers in Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, with market demand expected to rise to 1,500-2,000 vehicles by 2028. Einride stated that in the medium term, approximately 80% of business scenarios could achieve autonomous driving and will further expand based on existing driverless truck operations. Rishi Dhall, Vice President of Automotive Business at NVIDIA, said that autonomous trucks, requiring minimal human intervention, are expected to enhance the safety and efficiency of global freight transportation.
