On September 21, amidst swirling rumors that Li Auto was set to market its proprietary technology offerings—including Mach chips and silicon carbide modules—to third-party entities, Li Auto's Ma Donghui addressed the media, clarifying the company's stance. He confirmed that both chips and silicon carbide modules are indeed available for external sales, highlighting their compact size and broad applicability, which render them suitable for integration by other manufacturers.
However, he emphasized that Li Auto's self-developed PACK batteries, tailored specifically to align with the company's unique vehicle specifications and model attributes, with production capacity meticulously planned in tandem with vehicle output, are not earmarked for external distribution.
Ma Donghui further noted that select standardized components, developed in-house by Li Auto, are open for sale to external buyers.
