On September 21, Xu Jieyun, the Special Assistant to the Chairman of Xiaomi Group, made a statement to refute a rumor. He clarified that the screenshot circulating on the internet, which alleged that a suspect was driving a Xiaomi SU7, had been doctored by netizens. This screenshot was originally from an old report by CCTV's "Sky Net" program, and the vehicle featured in that report was, in fact, a Volvo. Previously, similar manipulated memes had also falsely implicated other models, such as the Golf GTI and the Huanglong motorcycle. Xu Jieyun's action was intended to set the record straight and curb the dissemination of false information.
