BYD, a prominent Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer, has recently solidified its commercial vehicle strategy in the European market with the official launch of its new all-electric heavy-duty tractor, the ETT 44. This model is meticulously crafted for long-distance logistics operations across Europe. It features an impressive total combined mass traction capacity of 44 tons and is outfitted with a cutting-edge 651 kWh blade battery. Under a total weight of 40 tons, the ETT 44 can travel up to 600 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, it supports 1.5 MW flash charging technology, enabling the battery to recharge from 20% to 80% in a mere 20 minutes, thereby substantially boosting operational efficiency. BYD's strategic move is aimed at expediting the electrification shift within the European heavy freight sector and fostering the growth of eco-friendly logistics.
