On September 17th, news emerged that BYD Co., Ltd. is gearing up to establish four factories across Europe as part of its long-term strategic development. These facilities will include three vehicle assembly plants and one dedicated electric vehicle battery factory. The move aims to align with local manufacturing regulations and appeal to a broader consumer base. Alfredo Altavilla, BYD's European business advisor, unveiled this ambitious plan during an event in Turin. He emphasized that while construction won't kick off right away, it represents a crucial stride towards meeting sales objectives and adhering to EU regulations. Presently, BYD is engaged in discussions with local automakers and governments in Europe, exploring the possibility of acquiring underutilized factories in nations such as France, Spain, and Italy.
