On the afternoon of September 16, Lei Jun shared updates on Xiaomi's advancements in AI-powered car manufacturing. He emphasized that, while harnessing AI to enhance quality management, Xiaomi also places significant emphasis on conducting tests in real-world environments. In recent years, the company has deployed close to 3,000 test vehicles and carried out comprehensive lifecycle generalization testing after product launches.

Lei Jun was also invited by the China Association for Quality to speak at an event. During his speech, he shared Xiaomi's quality management practices. Over the past five years, Xiaomi has invested a cumulative total of 105 billion yuan in research and development (R&D), with plans to invest over 200 billion yuan in the next five years. Since establishing the Quality Committee in 2017 and implementing a quality-first veto system, Xiaomi introduced the Performance Excellence Model in 2023. To date, the company has built 802 self-constructed laboratories and 35 joint laboratories.

Additionally, five years after announcing its entry into the car manufacturing sector, Xiaomi has delivered 800,000 vehicles in just over two years since its market launch. Recently, the company also launched the Dragon Scale Battery Assurance Program and made two related compensation commitments, further demonstrating its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
