On September 11th, nine departments, spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, jointly unveiled the '15th Five-Year Plan' for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry. This plan underscores the importance of integrated automotive and energy development, advocating for an accelerated improvement in charging and battery swap infrastructure. It calls for a rational planning of the layout for high-power charging facilities and emphasizes the need to bolster the construction of rural charging infrastructure to enhance the overall efficiency of charging and battery swap services. Concurrently, the plan encourages the widespread adoption of vehicle-grid interaction, explores sustainable business models, and fosters the coordinated development of new energy vehicles alongside green electricity and green hydrogen. Furthermore, it promotes the increased utilization of new energy heavy trucks in key scenarios, such as mainline logistics and short-distance transportation in designated areas.
