On September 11, it was reported that nine departments, with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology at the forefront, have jointly unveiled the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry. The plan explicitly outlines that by 2030, there will be a marked enhancement in the level of key technologies. Specifically, the average fuel consumption of passenger vehicles is projected to decrease to 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers, while pure electric passenger vehicles are expected to attain an average power consumption of around 11.5 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers. Furthermore, the plan envisions the widespread application of highly autonomous driving technology in various settings, including highways, urban expressways, and select urban roads.
