On September 10, figures released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) indicated that, from September 1 to 6, the nationwide wholesale volume of passenger cars by manufacturers stood at 207,000 units. This marked a 21% decline year-on-year, yet a 13% increase month-on-month. The cumulative wholesale volume since the start of the year reached 17.39 million units, reflecting a 5% decrease compared to the same period last year. Over the same timeframe, the retail volume in the market was 210,000 units, experiencing a 19% drop year-on-year and a 1% decline month-on-month. The cumulative retail volume since the beginning of the year has amounted to 11.926 million units, showing a 21% decrease year-on-year.
Focusing on new energy passenger vehicles, from September 1 to 6, manufacturers' wholesale volume reached 156,000 units. This represents a 2% increase year-on-year and a significant 20% rise month-on-month. The cumulative wholesale volume since the beginning of the year has been 9.934 million units, up by 9% compared to the previous year. During the same period, the retail volume of new energy vehicles in the market was 150,000 units, with a 3% decrease year-on-year but a 15% increase month-on-month. The cumulative retail volume since the start of the year has totaled 6.824 million units, down by 12% year-on-year.
