On September 3, reports emerged that at the 2026 World Dynamic Battery Conference, Robin Zeng, Chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), delivered a video address. He highlighted that in the first half of the year, domestic sales of new energy vehicles surpassed 7.4 million units, with over 600 new vehicle models launched—an average of nearly three per day—and development cycles continuing to shrink. Zeng emphasized that power batteries demand extremely high precision and have virtually zero tolerance for errors, as even minor flaws in mass production can have significant consequences. Therefore, he stressed the need for rigorous control over every process and parameter during the design phase, proactive identification of abnormalities, and an unwavering zero-tolerance approach to quality issues.
