The highly anticipated GAC Trumpchi Yue7, the brand's first foray into the boxy-shaped SUV segment, has officially opened for pre-sale. This new mid-to-large plug-in hybrid SUV comes in four variants, with pre-sale prices spanning from 179,800 to 225,800 yuan. However, under the current preferential terms, customers can secure their Yue7 for a starting price of just 177,800 yuan, with the top-end model available at 217,800 yuan. The official market launch is slated for the third quarter of this year.
As Trumpchi's inaugural boxy-styled mid-to-large plug-in hybrid SUV, the Yue7 boasts a robust powertrain consisting of a 1.5T turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor. Buyers have the flexibility to choose from three different battery capacity options, allowing for pure electric driving ranges of 116, 180, and 188 kilometers, respectively, under WLTC conditions. When factoring in the hybrid capabilities, the Yue7 can achieve a maximum combined range of up to 1,352 kilometers, making it an ideal choice for long-distance travel.
The Yue7's design is not just about aesthetics; it's built for performance and durability. The vehicle features a unibody structure with an innovative embedded beam design, enhancing its structural integrity. Additionally, it comes equipped with a closed dual-chamber air suspension system and SDC (Smart Damping Control) shock absorbers, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. For off-road enthusiasts, the Yue7 does not disappoint, as it is fitted with front and rear mechanical differential locks, as well as a central energy lock, providing exceptional traction and control in challenging terrains.
