The Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with two other departments, has jointly released the "Guidelines on Overseas Competition Conduct and Compliance Management in the Automotive Industry." These guidelines mandate enterprises to uphold compliance in all data processing activities associated with the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and autonomous driving. This includes strict adherence to regulations governing personal information processing and safeguarding consumer privacy. Simultaneously, enterprises are required to comply with both domestic and international intellectual property protection laws, bolstering the global布局 (which means "layout" or "strategic positioning" in this context) and protection of their proprietary intellectual property rights to prevent any infringements. They should also standardize the utilization of intellectual property rights in domains such as design, component manufacturing, and communication technology, while managing disputes in a proper and effective manner.
