Today marks the official commencement of blind orders for the highly anticipated BYD Haishi 08. The pre-sale price bracket for the Haishi 08 EV model is set from RMB 250,000 to RMB 280,000, whereas the Haishi 08 DM-i variant is available within the range of RMB 230,000 to RMB 260,000. The formal launch of this vehicle is slated for August. Initially showcased at the Beijing Auto Show in April of this year, the Haishi 08 boasts cutting-edge technologies, including the second-generation Blade Battery and the Yunjian-A system.

In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5115mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1800mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 3030mm. It presents customers with two powertrain choices: a pure electric option and a plug-in hybrid alternative. The pure electric version offers two range variants: 800 kilometers and 900 kilometers, and comes in both 5-seat and 6-seat layouts.

The interior design of the Haishi 08 draws inspiration from the ocean, incorporating light-rhyme mother-of-pearl trim strips and wave-surge wrap-around diffuse reflection ambient lighting to create a serene and captivating atmosphere. The seat design, influenced by the elegance of deep-sea scallops, includes both ventilation and heating features for enhanced comfort. A 21.4-inch high-definition ceiling-mounted screen is positioned in front of the second row, providing passengers with an immersive entertainment experience. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a premium 25-speaker Devialet audio system, ensuring an exceptional auditory experience.
