By the end of June, China’s total count of electric vehicle charging infrastructure units (guns) had soared to 23.057 million, reflecting a notable year-on-year surge of 43.2%. Within this figure, public charging facilities accounted for 5.009 million guns, experiencing a 22.3% increase compared to the previous year. These public guns boasted a combined rated power of 247 million kilowatts, averaging approximately 49.35 kilowatts per gun. Meanwhile, private charging facilities made up the remaining 18.048 million guns, marking a significant 50.4% rise year-on-year, with a reported installed electrical capacity of 155 million kilovolt-amperes.
