Recently, the inaugural unit of Ferrari's pioneering mass-produced electric model, the Luce, was auctioned off for an astonishing $40 million. This vehicle, a collaborative creation by ex-Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive and his design consultancy LoveFrom, stands as a pivotal moment in Ferrari's shift towards electrification. The Luce boasts a four-motor independent drive system, delivering a peak power output of 1,050 horsepower, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds. Its design seamlessly merges minimalist elegance with a futuristic industrial flair, while the interior focuses on physical buttons and tactile feedback to heighten the driving sensation. Furthermore, the Luce is outfitted with an 800V high-voltage platform and a substantial 122 kWh battery pack, enabling 350 kW rapid charging and offering a WLTC driving range of up to 530 kilometers.
