On August 14, autonomous driving company Pony.ai and global mobility platform Uber announced the expansion of their strategic partnership, with plans to deploy over 2,000 Pony.ai Robotaxis in five European cities. This marks one of the largest Robotaxi deployment initiatives in Europe. The collaboration will build upon the existing commercial operations in Zagreb, Croatia, with specific rollout plans for each city to be announced in phases. Meanwhile, services in Zagreb will be integrated into the Uber platform, allowing users to hail Pony.ai Robotaxis through the Uber App. The two sides will also deepen their cooperation in the Middle East to expand their global operational footprint.
