On July 27th, it was reported that Chung Eui-sun, Executive Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, stated that the group is transforming into a provider of physical AI solutions, with business operations covering autonomous driving, robotics, and AI-driven smart manufacturing. As part of its strategy, Hyundai will collaborate with NVIDIA to develop a robot reference platform, offering standardized hardware and software to help startups, universities, and research institutions more efficiently develop and validate robotics technologies. Additionally, Hyundai has unveiled a broader development roadmap, including partnerships with Waymo and Google DeepMind. Previously, Hyundai had already reached an agreement with NVIDIA to purchase 50,000 GPUs and plans to accelerate the development of digital twin technology and autonomous driving systems on this basis.
