Autonomous driving technology company Mobileye announced that its founder and CEO, Amnon Shashua, plans to step down after nearly 30 years at the helm. He will continue in his role until a successor is found. The Mobileye board will engage an executive search firm to select a new CEO and has invited Shashua to serve as chairman after the new CEO is appointed. Following his departure, he will focus on the research and development of technologies such as humanoid robots. On the same day, Mobileye reported its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, with revenue of $508 million, essentially flat year-over-year, and a net loss of $21 million. Following the earnings release, Mobileye's U.S.-listed shares fell 14.92%.
