On July 16, XPENG officially released a statement within its community, expressing regret for the malfunctions observed in the X9’s air springs under extreme conditions, particularly high temperatures. Earlier, a number of vehicle owners reported breakdowns while driving, with the primary issues being air suspension leaks and unilateral or complete collapse of the vehicle body. In response, XPENG Group has initiated a special warranty enhancement program: Effective immediately, the warranty period for the front air spring system of the XPENG X9—including the front air spring strut assembly, air supply unit, air supply unit solenoid valve box, and air reservoir—has been extended to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. This warranty remains valid regardless of any changes in vehicle ownership.
