Recently, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with European new energy integrator Alfen N.V., planning to deploy 5GWh Tianheng sodium-ion energy storage systems in Western European countries such as the Netherlands starting from 2027, marking the first batch of applications for this system in the European market.
