On July 9, data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) revealed that the domestic sales volume of passenger vehicles hit 1.497 million units in June. This figure marked a 3.7% increase from the previous month, though it represented a 26.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. Specifically, sales of traditional fuel-powered passenger vehicles reached 490,000 units, showing a significant year-on-year drop of 489,000 units and a slight month-on-month decrease of 1.3%, equating to a 49.9% decline. From January to June, the cumulative domestic sales of passenger vehicles amounted to 8.288 million units, down 24.3% year-on-year. Meanwhile, sales of traditional fuel-powered passenger vehicles stood at 3.694 million units during the same period, experiencing a year-on-year decrease of 1.732 million units, or 31.9%.
