On Monday, Toyota Motor Corporation unveiled its ambitious plan to allocate $3.6 billion towards the establishment of a cutting-edge automotive factory in Texas. As part of this strategic move, the company will also shift a portion of its truck manufacturing operations from Mexico to the United States. The sprawling new facility, set to cover an impressive 2.5 million square feet within the San Antonio manufacturing campus, is slated to commence production prior to 2030, paving the way for the creation of 2,000 new employment opportunities. Toyota has confirmed that upon the plant's completion, the production of its mid-sized Tacoma pickup truck will be relocated from Baja California, Mexico, to the state of Texas.
