On June 10, reports surfaced indicating a notable trend in the domestic auto market: 'fuel vehicles cooling down, new energy vehicles heating up.' Chen Shihua, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), delved into the factors driving this shift. He noted that escalating fuel prices have significantly raised the operational costs of traditional fuel vehicles, thereby accentuating the economic benefits of new energy vehicles. Concurrently, the relentless research and innovation efforts by domestic automakers, coupled with the swift evolution of new energy vehicle models, have successfully catered to a wide array of market needs, further unlocking the market's potential.

Chen Shihua further emphasized that the remarkable performance of new energy vehicles in overseas markets is a testament to the transformation and upgrading of China's automotive industry, as well as an enhancement of its overall competitiveness. This progress, he highlighted, is attributable to a combination of policy support, industrial collaboration, and a comprehensive and efficient new energy vehicle industry chain. Moreover, the rapid advancement of intelligent features, such as in-vehicle systems and autonomous driving technologies, has also bolstered the core competitiveness of these products, aligning them with the demands of international users.
