On June 1, a video surfaced online, posted by a netizen, alleging that an autonomous vehicle bearing the 'Pony.ai' logo abruptly braked following a lane change. This sudden maneuver caused the vehicle trailing behind to be unable to prevent a collision, and the autonomous vehicle promptly left the scene post-accident. The footage reveals that at approximately 6:00 PM on the same day, on a specific stretch of road in Yizhuang, Beijing, the Pony.ai self-driving car was initially cruising in the right lane. Upon switching to the left lane, it failed to maintain its original speed and instead executed an abrupt brake, culminating in a rear-end collision. Following the impact, the autonomous vehicle did not pause to address the incident but instead continued on its way without delay.
