China has set up a four-level smart factory system, encompassing basic, advanced, superior, and leading levels. Currently, a total of 35,000 basic-level, over 8,200 advanced-level, and more than 500 superior-level smart factories have been established, with 15 companies selected for the leading-level smart factory cultivation list. These factories have resulted in an average reduction of 47% in product defect rates and an average shortening of 38% in product research and development cycles. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on supporting key industries such as rail transit equipment, high-tech ships, and new energy vehicles in establishing leading factories and super scenarios. The first batch of 15 leading-level smart factories covers multiple industries including equipment manufacturing, raw materials, electronic information, and consumer goods.
