On May 21, Li Bin, founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO, pointed out during the Q1 2026 earnings call that competition in China's smart electric vehicle market has transitioned from a chaotic brand phase to a clarified phase. In the first quarter of this year, the average transaction price of the NIO brand reached 390,000 yuan, surpassing BMW by 50,000 yuan and being 1.5 times that of Audi. In Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta, and first-tier cities, NIO's market share has overtaken traditional luxury brands.
