On April 30, Tesla formally announced that its Berlin Gigafactory had manufactured its one-millionth electric drive system on April 28 (local time). This system, which includes an electric motor, gearbox, and inverter, serves as a vital part of electric vehicles. Since beginning operations on March 22, 2022, the factory has churned out a significant volume of fully assembled vehicles, with production topping 61,000 units in the first quarter of 2024. It aims to ramp up weekly production to 6,000 units from May onward.
