On April 30th, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government unveiled the Action Plan for Elevating the Developmental Vigor of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle (2026-2030) within Chongqing. This strategic blueprint advocates for the swift construction of trillion-yuan industrial clusters. Specifically, it aims to amplify the clout of the intelligent connected new energy vehicle sector by fostering a holistic enhancement of the entire industrial ecosystem, spanning vehicle manufacturing, component production, and aftermarket services, while solidifying its preeminent stance in autonomous driving technology. Additionally, the plan envisions a collaborative effort with Sichuan to co-establish 'Hydrogen Corridors,' 'Electric Corridors,' and 'Intelligent Mobility Corridors,' facilitating seamless integration and innovation across regions.

Simultaneously, the plan underscores the importance of bolstering the competitive edge of the next-generation electronic information manufacturing industry, with aspirations to introduce over 20 groundbreaking AI terminal products. Beyond these focal areas, the plan encompasses a broad spectrum of sectors, including intelligent manufacturing and equipment, advanced materials, and specialty foods, with the ambition to cultivate multiple industrial clusters achieving sales in excess of 100 million yuan. Furthermore, it seeks to forge a synergistic partnership with Sichuan to co-create multiple trillion-yuan industrial clusters, spanning electronic information, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, consumer goods, software and information services, as well as food and agricultural product processing, thereby propelling regional economic growth and technological advancement.
