The People's Government of Chongqing Municipality has unveiled the 'Action Plan for Elevating the Development Vigor of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle (2026-2030),' with a vision to expedite the establishment of industrial clusters worth trillions of yuan. This strategic blueprint encompasses enhancing Chongqing's prominence as a nexus for intelligent connected new energy vehicles, solidifying its competitive edge in next-generation electronic information manufacturing, and introducing more than 20 groundbreaking AI-powered terminal products. The plan also underscores the importance of fostering innovation and application across intelligent manufacturing, comprehensive equipment systems, mainframes, and components. It aims to hasten the evolution of advanced basic materials to forge distinctive industrial bases for cutting-edge materials, and to ramp up research and development efforts in specialty foods to craft 30 agricultural and food products with sales surpassing 100 million yuan. Furthermore, Chongqing is set to collaborate closely with Sichuan to co-create multiple trillion-yuan industrial clusters spanning electronic information, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, consumer goods, software and information services, as well as food and agricultural product processing.
